Being less attractive to the tomb robbers many of the nobles tombs are actually in a better state of preservation than those of the pharaohs and many of their decorations are particularly interesting as they tended to show more detail of everyday life in ancient Egypt. With flashes being banned (quite rightly I might add) it was remarkably difficult to get good internal shots in the tombs, especially as tripods were also banned.

This latter a little less justifiable I feel as it is really only protectionism for their own postcards etc.
