In 95 I made my first excursion to the Greater Ranges travelling to Bolivia to climb with my friend Yossi Brain, who had moved out to live in the capital La Paz a year earlier. We did a couple of days trekking in the Cordillera Real before attempting Huayna Potosi. Then we travelled to the more remote C Apollobamba in the North.

For this period we teamed up with another copule of Brits and climbed some new routes on these seldom visited mountains. We then returned by way of Huayna Potosi again and this time, better acclimatised, I reached the top.
