| I was fortuante enough to visit Pakistan in 1999 before all the recent troubles. We were planning to climb a mountain called Sangemar Mar at just over 7000m, but in the event we only achieved about 5600m before deteriorating conditions forced us to abandon the attempt. | However the trip itself was fantastic with some great climbing and trekking amongst friendly and helpful people. It is sad that recent events probably make visiting this country unwise for the time being. |
