I am getting more into trekking these days - my first "exotic" travels were specifically climbing expeditions to the Andes and the Himalayas. However these sort of trips are somtimes a little too focused on getting to the mountain and then getting up it, and I began to want to spend more time seeing the country and people of the places I was visiting.

For me this is what trekking is all about. I have listed the approaches to big climbs as trekking, and there are also images from a couple of treks in Peru - specifically the famous Inca Trail and another trek we did alone in the South near the Colca Canyon.
