Tutorial Overview

This tutorial should not take long and is the best way for you to become quickly familiar with the major features of ImageDB. Along the way you may choose to follow links to more detailed sections of the help, but this is not necessary to complete the tutorial. I would advise taking each step in turn though you can skip straight to any one step that interests you.

There are two tutorial options.

Tutorial using the sample database

You must have downloaded one of the sample database releases of ImageDB. This tutorial uses the sample database, sample.idb, and some sample images that are provided with the program. This should have been loaded when you first ran the program but if not it should be located in the same folder that you installed ImageDB in.

Links to the steps are below and there will be a link to the next step at the end of each step:

Tutorial without the sample database (creating your own database)

You can use this tutorial whichever release you downloaded as it does not assume that you have a sample database. Instead you will create your own database and so must have some JPEG images already available. This will require slightly more work on your part and so take a little longer to do.

Links to the steps are below and there will be a link to the next step at the end of each step:
