Here are a few of the sites I regularly visit
on programming topics

This is an excellent site with lots of useful
pieces of code. I have used a number of pieces of Windows MFC code from here.

Another great site with lots of
excellent pieces of code that I have borrowed from. |

Paintlib is an open source image library
that I use in my ImageDB program. It is simple to use, effective and
free. I have contributed some code to this library adding EXIF
functionality.

The Boost web site provides free
peer-reviewed portable C++ source libraries. The emphasis is on
libraries which work well with the C++ Standard Library. One goal is to
establish "existing practice" and provide reference
implementations so that the Boost libraries are suitable for eventual
standardization. Some of the libraries have already been proposed for
inclusion in the C++
Standards Committee's upcoming C++ Standard Library Technical
Report. Although Boost was begun by members of the C++ Standards
Committee Library Working Group, membership has expanded to include
nearly two thousand members of the C++ community at large.

Brian Walker who runs this school taught me
almost everything I know about photography and you would be hard pressed to
find a tutor with more enthusiasm than Brian.

The Global Photo Site is an excellent site
providing forums, useful links and member galleries. You can even sell your
images through their galleries.
